A theme for the next Boyball, that is!
Ok kids, it’s time to do some serious thinking with your head. (And no, I’m not talking about the one in your pants!)
Next year’s Ball is planned for April 16, 2011, and I need your help. Every year we have a spectacular theme for the Ball but, girl, I am running out of ideas. Do YOU have any?
Send your submissions for the Boybutante Ball 2011 theme to me at: missthing@boybutante.org
Those providing the selected theme will win fabulous prizes and my undying gratitude!
Make sure you include your contact info with your submission.
Kisses!
Miss Thing

Here is a great opportunity to see a terrific concert and help the Boybutante AIDS Foundation, Inc. When purchasing your ticket to the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus concert in Athens, say the promotion code “Boybutante” and $5 will be given to the Foundation.
Macy’s will present The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus on tour, March 25, 2010, in the UGA Performing Arts Center at 8:00 PM. “The Road Leads Back: Georgia On Our Minds” features the 100-voice chorus performing a wide range of musical styles from jazz to classical music, satire to spirituals, and love songs to Broadway. The first part of the concert, “Journeys,” includes highlights from the chorus’ past three seasons, including Wagner’s “Pilgrims Chorus,” selections from Daniel Pinkham’s “Sinfonia Sacra,” as well as classic tunes like “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother,” Billy Strayhorn’s “Take the A- Train,” and the timeless “Georgia On My Mind.” Part two of the concert will feature AGMC’s critically acclaimed original production of “Shaken, Not Heard: Stories of Gay Men, Faith and Reconciliation”–a powerful glimpse into the tenuous relationship between gay men and organized religion. Theatrical in structure, “Shaken, Not Heard” has been lauded for its wisdom, power and potential for healing and is a must see for anyone who has ever felt at odds with the teachings of their church. Tickets can be purchased by calling the UGA Performing Arts Center box office at (706) 542-4400 or toll free at (888) 289-8497 (BUY-TIXS), or by e-mail at ugaarts@uga.edu. Please provide the promotional code “Boybutante” and $5.00 of your ticket price will go toward the Boybutante AIDS Foundation, Inc.
It was so great the first time, we’re doing it again! Don’t miss it!

The University of Georgia Thalian Blackfriars will present The Well of Horniness, with all proceeds going to the Boybutante AIDS Foundation.
A sopping story filled with Sapphic sentiment, The Well of Horniness, written by Holly Hughes, is a telling story of one woman’s sojourn into the septic tank of the soul. A former lesbian is chased out of town after being accused of shooting her fiancée’s sister, a member of a secret sorority committed to fully exploring the depths of the well of horniness.
Come see a crazy female melodrama filled with ups and downs, lefts and rights, and ins and outs. This UGA Thalian Blackfriars production runs Friday, January 15, and Saturday, January 16, at 8 PM in the Balcony Theatre of the Fine Arts Building at 225 Baldwin Street on the UGA campus. Tickets are $2, and all proceeds go to the Boybutante AIDS Foundation.
Drag Brunch on Nov. 15 at The National was a great success! Thanks to all the Divas and to Peter Dale and his folks at The National for all the hard work! And thanks to everyone who turned out to enjoy brunch and drag! Look for more drag brunches coming up soon!
